It has been more than a decade since I last visited Bangkok– and it’s time to take on the heat, the traffic and the hectic craziness. Here’s my 5 days itinerary for Bangkok.

The Hua Chang Heritage Hotel in Bangkok is a classy and stylish sanctuary in the midst of all the bustle of the city outside its walls. I call it my absolutely fantastic city find!
From high-end fine dining, to simple Thai cuisine and its variety of street food, there is something for anyone waiting to indulge in the amazing Thai cuisine. During my visit to Bangkok, I made sure I sampled a huge range of its culinary wonders.
My trip to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market– where I zoomed along the canal on a long-tailed boat, walked around the busy marketplace, and bought delicious Thai food from boats.
The Shanghai Mansion Hotel Bangkok provides a small sanctuary away from the chaos of Chinatown– and with its oriental theme, stepping into it is like being transported back in time to old world Shanghai.
Diving in the Phi Phi islands with Sea Fun Divers– only for a day, but I saw lots of turtles, and a leopard shark.
In the midst of lively Kata and its beautiful beach, lies the lovely Malisa Villa Suites Phuket. It’s luxurious, hidden, and its villas come with a private pool!
To keep up with the growing numbers of hotels and resorts in Malaysia– I thought that I’d list down the key ones that will be opening in 2016. Time to plan that staycation!
Banda Aceh suffered major devastation from the 2004 tsunami, but has since been rebuilt. However, remnants of the disaster are still visible– and I spend half a day exploring the city, and learning more about it.
I have never heard of Pulau Weh until I started diving early this year, when I was told of the beautiful reefs and marine life surrounding the island. So for my dive trip this time, Pulau Weh seemed like the most attractive choice.
With so many popular islands in Indonesia, Pulau Weh is often overlooked. I’ve never heard of the island until quite recently; and apart from the brilliant diving, it offers many other things to do as well. Here’s what I did.
The Bell Pool Villa Resort is just a short ride away from the lovely Kamala Beach in Phuket. Getting to it is like taking a journey in search of a lost village– it is secluded, private and surrounded by nature.
Travel Video: Here’s a video montage of all my favorite moments while searching for autumn colors at the Daisetsuzan National Park, and exploring Hokkaido’s capital city, Sapporo.
Sapporo is modern, dynamic and compelling; and during my visit in autumn, beautiful. I only had one day in the city, so I made use of my time to sample what Sapporo is famous for; the beer, the food and the shopping.
Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan, is the first place to witness the autumn foliage in the country… and the Daisetsuzan National Park is the area to catch that first glimpse.
The Hard Rock Hotel Penang is one of the more prominent resorts along the Batu Ferringhi stretch of coastal road– after all, who can miss its signature purple sign? With its 80’s rock and roll theme, you’ll feel like a rockstar.
