The Scarlet Singapore, known as Singapore’s first boutique hotel, made me feel as if I was stepping into a beautifully decorated colonial house during the 19th century. It is luxurious and lavish.
With a crazy party scene, beautiful beaches, gorgeous marine life and luxurious living, its hard to decide what to do in Phuket. These are the few things I did in the island that I enjoyed immensely– compiled into a top 10 list.
Phuket was an obvious choice for a diving beginner like me as it is said to be one of the best spots for simple and easy dives. I did 7 dives with Sea Bees Diving, and explored sites like Koh Bida Nok, Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai and Racha Yai.
Burasari Phuket is a lovely boutique resort in Patong, surrounded by nature with lush trees, fragrant flowers, pretty gardens, gentle waterfalls and quaint wooden bridges.
Yogyakarta is a bustling town in central Java, Indonesia. The city is colorful; with a strong cultural heritage and thriving traditional art scene. I spend 3 days in the city, and this was my itinerary.

Pulau Ubin is worlds away from the bustling city of Singapore. With its beautiful scenery, coconut trees, mangrove forests, lovely shorelines and abundant wildlife; it retains a rural and rustic village charm. A lovely place to cycle around.

Banaue is famous for the 2,000 year old rice terraces carved into its mountains. It’s an arduous trip to get there, but I’ve heard so much about the magnificence of the rice terraces that I had to witness it for myself.
Taal Volcano is an active volcano, said to be one of the smallest in the world. It is an interesting natural wonder– a volcano within a lake within a volcano within a lake. Hearing about this, I just had to make the journey!
