And the blog is now 4 years old! Here’s the list of my 12 months of adventures in 2018 — a resolution I made at the end of 2017 to experience a new adventure every month.
My day’s visit to the ancient watertown of Zhouzhuang, known as China’s No.1 watertown. From walking its narrow lanes, to floating down its canals — I had a lovely time going back in time.
I loved my visit to the ancient garden city of Suzhou, China. However, I had my share of bad experiences (but of course more lovely ones) — so here’s a list of what not to do to make your trip to Suzhou… wonderful!
A visit to the biggest Starbucks (cafe and roastery) in the world — complete with a running factory and a HUGE bronze cast. And I ended up spending a fortune on coffee, food and Starbucks trinkets!
Travel Video: A video of my visit to Shanghai — exploring old Shanghai, admiring the skyscrapers of Pudong, enjoying Disneyland, and taking a step back at the Xitang Watertown.
My visit to the ancient watertown of Xitang, known for its many canals, lovely bridges and covered waterside walkways. Being in the town is like being transported back to old, old China.
An account of unexpected situations that I’ve encountered on my travels — this is a story on how I got stranded without a place to stay in the dead of the night.
Exploring the old and new Shanghai — from narrow alleways and historic bars to modern skyscrapers and the busiest shopping street in the world. My day out and about in Shanghai.
Ahhh Disneyland — it’ll always be that magical place where I can be a little kid, play dress-up, meet my childhood heroes, and live my princessy dreams. And this time, I experienced it all in Shanghai.
Travel Video: A short snippet on my trip to the southern city of Guilin with my family, and it was wonderful cultural and scenic journey back to the land of our ancestors.
Over my five days in the city of Guilin in southern China’s Guangxi province, I got to witness the sublime beauty of its stunning scenery, karst landscape, winding rivers and cultural treasures. My ancestors were from this province, so it was a surreal experience going back to the ‘motherland’.
The town of Yangshuo in southern China is packed with tourists — but if you know where to look, you can still find some peace and quiet to admire the beauty people flock to see.
It’s the new year and the blog is 2 years old. Here’s sharing my 2016 travel reflections, a countdown of my favourite travel moments of the year. Thanks for being a part of these adventures by dropping by the blog!
