Pulau Ubin is worlds away from the bustling city of Singapore. With its beautiful scenery, coconut trees, mangrove forests, lovely shorelines and abundant wildlife; it retains a rural and rustic village charm. A lovely place to cycle around.

This mist-shrouded town is blessed with cool and refreshing mountain air, gorgeous scenery and friendly people– the quiet and serene atmosphere here will give you a glimpse into life way back when. However, I made the journey specifically to see the ‘hanging coffins’.
Banaue is famous for the 2,000 year old rice terraces carved into its mountains. It’s an arduous trip to get there, but I’ve heard so much about the magnificence of the rice terraces that I had to witness it for myself.
Taal Volcano is an active volcano, said to be one of the smallest in the world. It is an interesting natural wonder– a volcano within a lake within a volcano within a lake. Hearing about this, I just had to make the journey!
