If you’re a fan of K-pop, then mark this date – 19th January 2023. This is when the South Korean entertainment industry will kick-start the year with one of its longest-running awards ceremonies, the 32nd Seoul Music Awards 2023 at the Olympic Park’s Olympic Gymnastic Arena in Seoul, South Korea. It’s also the biggest annual music awards, hosted by the local newspaper Sports Seoul since 1990.

The Seoul Music Awards honours artists of all genres, including ballads, hip-hop, R&B, and bands for their professionalism and diversity over the past year. So look forward to see some of the most famous South Korean artists in the world who have been nominated to win the Main (Bonsang) Award for 2023’s 32nd edition — BTS, (G)I-dle, Lim Young-woong, Blackpink, Girls’ Generation, Twice, Ateez, Kang Daniel and Monsta X.

A list of nominees was announced on December 6, 2022, through the Seoul 32nd Music Awards 2023 official website at https://www.seoulmusicawards.com/vote. Of course I’m voting for BTS and Blackpink! And what’s more… one of my favourite K-artists (and so very handsome too lol), SHINee’s Minho is gonna be one of the MCs for the awards this year, so all the more reason to watch it!

To increase their global views and to satiate the appetite of K-pop’s fans worldwide, the Seoul Music Awards has partnered up with Yippi to air a LIVE broadcast of the awards to the public.
