Hitoyoshi was the fourth part on my grand Kyushu tour with Parlo Tours, and we got to harvest our own food, cook our own meals, and then got pampered by our local Japanese farmstay ‘mum’. It was such a unique experience!
While in Kagishima, I got to ride on a cartoon train, dress up as a samurai, admire an active volcano, and eat the most delicious Kurobuta black pork. It was the most awesome 2 days on the third league of my grand Kyushu tour with Parlo Tours!
The second part of my grand Kyushu tour with Parlo Tours brought me to the caldera and peaks of Mount Aso. I saw the active volcano brewing thick white smoke!
If you love Japanese onsen, you’ll love Beppu. Whether it is for bathing, or for viewing — this city has got to be one of the toastiest and steamiest places I have ever visited! First city on my grand Kyushu tour with Parlo Tours.
Most people visit Kyoto on a day trip, but I think that 5 days in this beautiful temple city just wasn’t enough. This place absolutely bewitched me!
Here’s how I spent 3 days in the Japanese city of Osaka — visiting castles, temples, walking streets, and just basking in the neon lights and colorful signboards that is Osaka.
My half day visit to Nara — where I got to hang out with hundreds of deer, visit some of Japan’s most ancient temples, and dine on delicious grilled eel. Oh, did I mention the adorable deer?
