Banda Aceh suffered major devastation from the 2004 tsunami, but has since been rebuilt. However, remnants of the disaster are still visible– and I spend half a day exploring the city, and learning more about it.
I have never heard of Pulau Weh until I started diving early this year, when I was told of the beautiful reefs and marine life surrounding the island. So for my dive trip this time, Pulau Weh seemed like the most attractive choice.
