My trip to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market– where I zoomed along the canal on a long-tailed boat, walked around the busy marketplace, and bought delicious Thai food from boats.
The Shanghai Mansion Hotel Bangkok provides a small sanctuary away from the chaos of Chinatown– and with its oriental theme, stepping into it is like being transported back in time to old world Shanghai.
Diving in the Phi Phi islands with Sea Fun Divers– only for a day, but I saw lots of turtles, and a leopard shark.
In the midst of lively Kata and its beautiful beach, lies the lovely Malisa Villa Suites Phuket. It’s luxurious, hidden, and its villas come with a private pool!
Apart from being one of the best places to see the northern lights, Tromso is a beautiful city with so much to offer; scenery, art, history and food– even when its dark all day long, in winter.
Husky sledding has to be one of the most exhilarating rides I’ve ever been on– especially zooming along in minus-degree temperatures, chilly winds and thick snow.

Banda Aceh suffered major devastation from the 2004 tsunami, but has since been rebuilt. However, remnants of the disaster are still visible– and I spend half a day exploring the city, and learning more about it.
I have never heard of Pulau Weh until I started diving early this year, when I was told of the beautiful reefs and marine life surrounding the island. So for my dive trip this time, Pulau Weh seemed like the most attractive choice.
